As you prepare to respond to this post, refer to the “Personal Leadership Plans” Learning Activity. As you consider a personal leadership plan, which of the self-assessment inventories listed in the Learning Activity have you completed or would like to complete? If you have not completed one of these assessments, research the one of interest further on the Internet. I have taken all three of the assessments with the following results. Meyer biggs. Extraverted. 63% Observant 59% Feeling 52% Prospecting 64% Turbulent 59% Big 5 Ocean Open-mindedness 72% Conscientiousness 66% Extraversion 58% Agreeableness 85% Negative emotionality 45% EQ Average EQ rating You have slightly above average EQ – with room to grow! You are likely sensitive to the emotional climate of the people around you when you and they – peers, friends, family and key clients – are under pressure. You are aware of the effect your behavior has on others. While you may be adept at tuning into others and their needs – you must remember your own. Don’t be afraid to honestly communicate these difficult needs and feelings. This is one of the most important aspects of Emotional Intelligence: being able to skillfully air your grievances. What about this assessment is appealing to you? This show was I can grow, further, it reinforces what I said earlier -- that agreeableness is my biggest area. Also, I am a little more extroverted than I previously thought, I know that at times I am very extroverted, but this usually depends on mood. What do you hope to learn about yourself from the assessment? How to grow in the areas that I chose previously to increase. If you have completed one of the assessments, which one was it? What did learn about yourself? Like I previously stated, I did all three. I learned that prospecting is a higher than thought area as well.
