As you prepare to respond to this post, refer to the “Adaptive Leadership” Learning Activity. Of the technological challenges that leaders must be able to handle, which one listed in the reading poses the greatest threat to a company you know well? Please explain, and provide examples to support your response. What do you think is required to turn this threat around in that organization? transformational leadership is often considered the most effective approach to use in a fluid environment or when a crisis situation occurs, Transformational leaders have integrity, inspire people with a shared vision of the future, set clear goals, motivate people toward these goals, manage delivery, and communicate well with their teams. Environment,Technology(Dias, L., 2014). Several technological challenges were listed. They are as follows. 1. Learning the strengths and vulnerabilities of different technologies that support the team and its mission. 2.Thinking how the organization will operate with other organizations that are less or more technologically complex. 3. Considering the effect of technology on the time available to analyze problems, make decisions, and act on a situation; events today are fast paced and the requirement for making quick decisions adds to individual uncertainty, a strain on personal confidence, and to the associated stress levels that accompany the risks taken by the leader. When I began to attend my current church I became aware that they were in need of technology booster shot. Today's church's all kinds of technology to support their mission. Web pages, email, and projectors to name a few. This church had almost none of these. A lack of technology in a church is almost a death sentence today. My mission was clear. The first thing I did back then created a web page. Secondly, I installed a server. For years we hosted our own pages. As the needs of the church expanded this was outdated. Today we pay for hosting which allows us to have domain based email address johnsmith@mychurch.com. The web page began to be augmented by events calendars, google calendars, and staff pages. Today one can visit the page and find out everything about the church, its pastorate, as well as view a past service without ever going to the actual location. Another advancement that had to be made was a projector based screen that posted scriptures during the messages. Today, I am happy to report that this church was the first in the community to begin to stream live video of each service, offer a way to give online as well as with a debit card, and have a cafe to accommodate fellowship attempts. As the church began to grow in technology attendance began to increase, a monthly business meeting was established, and staff members were added. Though the pastorate is still finding difficulties in being so "available" with social media, email addresses, and phone numbers being posted the direct result has been a grown in the family feel of the community as a whole. When it comes to a strain on confidence and the associated stress in the leadership the live stream is king. A live stream means that one must really take extra efforts in censoring one's self. At any given moment anyone can be watching live. The avenue for hurt feelings and offense are wide open. People tend to get defensive and hurt quickly in churches as most topic deal with real issues that are very personal in nature.
